Battling Storm Fall Short In Regional League Debut
Newquay Storm made a promising start to life in the Netball South West Regional League 3 (South) despite losing 53-37 to an experienced Vivary side at Taunton Vale Sports Club in Somerset.
Newquay Storm, playing their first season in the regional league after promotion last year, showed plenty of fight.
Travelling two and a half hours for the 11am start, Newquay Storm faced a tough challenge against Vivary, a well-established club in the competition.

The home side quickly took control of the game, but Storm refused to roll over. Centre Zoe Bunt put in a great performance earning Player of the Match honours from the opposition.
Despite Vivary pulling away in the final quarter, Newquay Stormโs effort and attitude were never in doubt. The team showed they have what it takes to compete at this level and will be keen to build on this performance as the season progresses.
